STRESS! I have started my final year of college and probably what will be the busiest semester I have ever experienced. I am taking 22 units so that I will be able to graduate on time as well as working and planning a wedding. I wanted to get more down over the summer with the wedding but things got away from me and now I am making various trips home to finish up some wedding projects and get the final details done.
In good news, yesterday me, my mom, and my sister Megan went and met with a potential baker. I know in previous post I said I was doing cupcakes but I have pulled away from that decision because of the lack of time we might have to prepare the cupcakes. She made the cake for Adam's sister's wedding so I knew her cakes tasted great and looked good. We met with her and talked details and tried some cake. We decided to use her and I am very happy with my choice. The cake will be beautiful and taste great! I am not kidding her cakes taste incredible. She uses her own frosting called Italian Whip. It taste so much better than fondant but it still looks like fondant. The filling I choose is a strawberry Bulgarian creme. She uses all fresh strawberries so it is definitely not the syrup gross imitations strawberries. Over all I am very excited to have a cake that will look good and taste good.
Here is the cake. Mine will look a little better because some of the imperfections that are easily seen on this cake will not be on mine. But I like the simplicity as well as the elegance of the cake.
